Hello!
Welcome to A Deeper Look - a newsletter that provides a weekly dive into the themes of pluralism, education, and the humanities. I will also share any readings, books, observations that I come across over the week. It is my hope to publish this newsletter on a weekly basis every Sunday afternoon.
I hope that you will join me on this journey.

Why?
Information with Context: Information today has been reduced into short bite sized pieces often without context, analysis or interrogation. This seeks to provide information that speaks to a broader context than that covered by the 24-hour news cycle.
Breaking out of the Echo Chamber: Much of the media, news, and information we consume today is largely algorithm driven; referring us to that which we are already know or are familiar. In doing this we trap ourselves in shrinking echo chambers, an experience as dangerous as it is terrifying. This is an attempt to help us escape this chamber.
Consumption to Comprehension: Both the format of media today, and the pressures of time, work, and life make it difficult for us to consume anything larger than a news article, tweet, of news clip. Yet I believe, there is a happy medium; a well crafted newsletter, that focuses and demands an active engagement.
Sifting Through the Noise: There is an enormous amount of global research and knowledge produced daily but cutting through the noise for knowledge that speaks with relevance to the ideas of today has become a more difficult endeavour. This seeks to fill that gap.
